For this particular project, the unit was old, energy deficient, and the compressor failed. We suggested that we installed a new unit instead of repairing one that would later cause problems and throw money down the drain.
For this project, the client wanted a new installation of a mini-split in his studio.
In the client's unit, their coil was full of debris and dirt that the evaporator coil "Iced up". Meaning there is a restriction of airflow, allowing the coil to create ice. In order for us to solve the problem, a technician chemically cleaned the evaporator coils free from dirt and debris.
